Christmas in the Air

We are being invited with our prophet and missionaries to LIGHT the WORLD this season.  What kind of things are lighting your world?

The first of December brought a wonderful family to our branch.

Neighbors, friends, brothers, sisters showed up to offer couches, tables, chairs, beds, fridge, broom and mops to sweep spiders, scuffs off walls and mirrors, with wreath and welcome mat to add sparkle to the mix.

Here are the leaves collected in anticipation (He serves, who only stands and [rakes or] waits)
It took time to find the family we were helping...sometimes "no man knoweth the day or the hour"...
but gathering is a great suggestion to do when an event is on its wings!
On heels of service came a celebration of birthdays..and a flood of packages, birthday and Christmas.
Thank you!
Happy to rejoice with others of faith with a "convivio" (linger longer) and listen to a

We are grateful to celebrate something manifest in light that lifts outside and in,
uniting hearts and families.

Hands and hearts knit together focused efforts to ready music, ambiance and delicious tastes

 to bring together branch families.

We counted 13 tables times 8 and most were full.
William tells me 13 x 8 = 104.  (You do the math.)
 Not everyone sat.
But some sat on Santa.
Or at least near him.
Friends sharpening accompanying skills shared their lights.  And beamed!

The next day, a sweet friend brought one of us to hear a children's chorus, orchestra, and choir ring glad tidings.  Even the stake president sang!  (Which lends some of us courage--that even when responsibilities weigh, joy can be included.)
May music, light, hope, and peace remind us each
of why we remember Him who brings
every season!

  3. This a wonderful reminder of what we should focus on to honor our Father in Heaven. Thank you for that.
P.s. Love that Santa's face is drowning in hair. A handy trick. Haha. Also love how someone rests their trombone :)
