O Beautiful, Spacious Skies!

Letter from my sweetheart of twenty six years and counting: 

Seasons Greetings from lovely California! 

   

We are remembering why people love this place.  Lots of sunny nice weather.  You are invited.

But our candle is getting shorter, actually really short, about 3 months.

We have helped a family (10) with their kids, cleaning their yard, helping them get to an immigration meeting, and just loving them.

 

We have enjoyed some very nice conversations with our families.  One day we had we had a fire up the canyon that burned about 2220 acres of range land.  They had about 10 trucks, 2 bulldozers and lots of people fighting it.  It was smoky, but by morning the smoke had cleared.

(This is not the fire, but we do enjoy "fire in the sky" with amazing "puestas del sol", or sunsets.)  We have visited a couple of parks in preparation for Kristen , Zach and the kids in just over a week.

Hope you have some time to enjoy the Summer.  We understand Amber and Jake are working to pack and leave for New Mexico late August.  Wow!   That is exciting, yet a lot of work.  From Laurene:  We thank each of you (prayers) and heaven itself, for effecting a change of their rejected orders within a three-day, unheard-of turnaround. 

Two little ones (yes, "TWO, TWO" two mints in one!) are growing ever talented in toddling---with sights set south!

Another two favorite people--outstanding in their field!  And the field is white...ready to harvest!  

 I was privileged to Confirm Margarita Ruiz a member Sunday.  Also we are making another sun reflector for a family.  We helped our neighbor move.

 Friends add color, lift, light to our days!

Grateful to honor a constitution.  Working to honor and keep our own--a final tenet being order, beauty, cleanliness--continuous effort.
